As far as new units there definitely is enough but that doesn't mean more can't be added.

I think ABM systems would be nice. They could shoot down nukes and incoming rockets.

There might a be a certain "space warfare" element where satellite based defenses and surveillance systems could be built and destroyed.

Destroyers would be nice to hunt submarines defensively and offensively.

Population morale and propaganda war could also be added. Spies could work towards this end as well.

As it is though, the number of units are fine.

Sounds great, adding to many units would make the game hard to understand by new players, but also allows more tactics to older players.

Ill may add different playworlds, with their own difficulty. Harder worlds have more units?

Nice idea. I think that would be perfect to sort of "phase" players in. The beginning world would be simpler.

Although I'm thinking the tutorial system could be used to do this too...

In fact, I just had a thought about a training world! It is filled with dummy opponents and a tutorial could be designed to run the new player through drills and missions to get them up to speed with understanding every unit and how it functions. An interesting idea but I don't know if its really practical.

I like the idea of having a trainings world. But that requires some heavy maintenance every few days. If there are dummy opponents, they have to be build/rebuild/ etc etc

Well what if it was static. There is a series of links with missions like "Spy Mission" and "Missile Attack" and they have to click the link to start the mission and once they leave the mission zone it just resets.
